Halwasiya Vidya Vihar, sprawled over 9 acres of land, was set up in the city of Bhiwani popularly known as Chhoti Kashi in the year 1962 with the humble objective to impart quality education. It started with a meagre strength of students and teachers in 1962 but with the tireless efforts of the teachers the school has earned a top- notch name as well as fame soon and has become the epitome of quality education in the vicinity. Today nearly 2400 students from class Nursery to class XII are being happily nurtured under the able guidance of 100 plus teachers. The school is affiliated to CBSE (Affiliation no. – 530025) and is running up to class XII with three streams; Science, Commerce and Arts. It has got all the required infrastructure to take care of the needs of all the students. In about 60 years of its establishment, the school has carved a niche for itself in the state of Haryana not only in the field of academics, but also in the field of co-curricular activities and competitions. The school is pro-active in providing maximum opportunities to the teachers and the students to participate in workshops and seminars conducted by various reputed institutions, BSEH, CBSE, NCERT, Ministry of Education and other agencies to keep them updated. The mission statement of the school is to provide its students a caring and creative environment to experiment, learn and grow, where they also learn to respect one another. It aims to use innovative techniques, varied instructional strategies and inter-disciplinary teaching to enhance lifelong learning. It aims to invest in good modern resources and is increasingly looking to IT to aid the learning process.
